This machine is designed to use abrasive belts to apply a polished finish
to square or rectangular
tubular products.
The tube is driven through the machine by a rubber belt held in tension b
y a steel roll that is
mounted on the end of an air cylinder. This roll is adjustable at an ang
le to facilitate belt
tracking. Air regulators are provided for tension adjustment. The othe
r roll is driven via a cog
and chain by A1 HP inverter duty motor. The motor is connected to a redu
ction gear to provide
torque. The motor is controlled by a Saftronics AC drive, which varies f
requency supplied to the
motor to change speed.
The abrasive belt is rotated by a urethane coated roll which is driven by
a 25 HP motor via a set
of pulleys and belts.
The belt is held in tension by a steel roll that is mounted on the end of
the air cylinder. This
roll is adjustable at an angle to facilitate belt tracking. Air regulator
s are provided for tensions
adjustment.
The machine has three grinding stations, each on with separate controls f

To provide cooling and dust control, a lubrication system is supplied. I
t consists of
* 2 HP motor close coupled to a centrifugal pump
* Holding tank with baffles
* Liquid supply and drain piping
An electrical cabinet with all electrical components and main disconnect
is supplied. This includes
the AC drive.
Inlet and outlet tables with nylon coated rolls are supplied. These tabl
es have liquid catch trays
which drain back to the lubrication tank.
