MONARCH VLN14 4-AXIS CNC VERTICAL TURNING LATHE

We are pleased to present the Monarch Model VLN-14 with indexing turrets,
a four axis numerically controlled vertical turning and boring machine
with power indexing pentagon or square turret head or ramhead with round
turret and sidehead. The basic machine includes the table drive, indexin
g
turret head, sidehead, CNC control and all electrical and hydraulic
equipment. The machine will perform the following functions under
numerical control.
1. Start and stop the machine
2. Select and index the tools
3. Control table speeds, infinitely variable in three ranges
4. Feed in any axis at programmed feed rate
5. Position in any axis at any feed rate or rapid traverse (250 IPM)
6. Various other optional features

Turrethead
The nonswiveling turrethead, to be mounted on the right-hand side of the
crossrail, moves on a system of preloaded antifriction recirculating
roller packs and antiwear liners and has the following operating

The vertical slide is of high quality cast iron, induction hardened at
450 - 500 Brinell and ground. It is hydraulically counterbalanced to
eliminate excess weight on the precision ballscrew.
The vertical slide is eqiupped with a power indexing pentagonal or square
turret suitable for dovetail toolholders. The indexing and clamping
mechanisms are hydraulically actuated. Indexing time, station to station
,
is 5 seconds.
Sidehead CNC Controlled
The non-swiveling sidehead moves on a system of preloaded antifriction
recirculating roller packs and antiwear liners and has the following
operating specifications
