Planopol is a series of powerful and sturdy machines, designed for man
y years of troublefree
grinding, lapping and polishing of any kind of material.
Planopol can be mounted with Pedemax-2 for automatic movement of up to
12 specimens
simultaneously.
Planopol will work with all kinds of discs from 200 mm (8") to 300 mm
(12").
The discs are provided with a three pin fitting, which corresponds to
holes in the turntable.
This allows easy exchange of discs without the use of tools.
The combination Planopol-V/Pedemax-2 is suitable for highly ductile me
tals, such as
aluminum, tungsten and other pure metals, since the disc speed is cont
inuously variable over
a wide range. This combination is further suitable for heterogeneous
materials, for example
mineralogical specimens.
