RAND-BRIGHT MODEL HD-100PC-TP CENTERLESS/CYLINDRICAL

The parts are fed into the work and holding areas of the machine by a
10" x 32" 90
Durometer drum, skewed to a pre-determined angle, using a pulley and
cogged belt as
drive with a 15 to 1 Perfection Gear Reducer, and a 1 HP Baldor DC TE
FC motor.
Two guide plates, running parallel to the machine, feed parts through
the machine, while
the skew angle and the DC motor control the feed rate.
Two parts stops are located on the guide plates to hold parts for fin
ishing and also to
hold the next proceeding part for the finishing process.
When the part is positioned under the wheel, a proximity switch inter
faced with computer
controls, senses the position of the part and lowers the head, allowi
ng both ends to be
finished.
A part stop keeps the part from feeding off the machine, which will a
llow the complete
circumference to be finished. After a dwell time of 3 to 5 seconds,
the head will raise
and part stop will release the part off finisher to the following ope
ration.
At approximately the same time, the second part stop will release ano
ther track pin in a
continual process. The complete cycle time is 10 to 15 seconds.
