Barnes Drill Combination Magnetic and Fabric Filter. This two-stage
filter, consisting
of a magnetic separator and fabric filter, is for the removal of ferr
ous and non-ferrous
contaminant and is contained in a single, compact unit.
For positive, "two stage" coolant cleaning, Barnes Drill engineers ha
ve combined the
fabric filter with the popular Barnes Drill magnetic separator. In t
he first stage, dirty
coolant flows through a powerful magnetic field that removes ferrous
particles. In the
second state, it passes through a filter which removes non-ferrous co
ntaminants.
With "two stage" coolant cleaning, fabric consumption is even lower t
han on models
without the magnetic drum because the magnets remove the heavy ferrou
s load before the
coolant reaches the fabric.

1. For water soluble and cutting oils. Ferrous and non-ferrous applicat
ions.
2. Removes 98% of all particles over 10 microns in size (measured by ele
ctronic partical
counter). Depends on application and fabric used.
