HOFFMAN SERIES 3600 36" DOUBLE SIDED LAPPER

The 3600 is a double sided, planetary lapping and polishing machine for
processing parts
as large as 10" in diameter. It is capable of generating flatness to l
ess than 1 helium light
band per inch, parallelism to .00002", uniform thickness to +/- .00005"
and surface
finishes of 1 r.m.s. or less on wide variety of materials. The rugged
design of the 3600
Series Lapping or Polishing machine offers the ability to process mater
ial at high pressures
for fast removal rates or low pressures for slower stock removal and th
in, fragile work.
The unique "jog" feature insures ease of loading/unloading of parts by
giving the operator
the ability to index each workholder to the front of the machine. In s
